“If you hear a voice within you say ‘you cannot paint,’ then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced”
-Vincent Van Gogh

‘ART’ is a defining new concept of event that was born late 2015 after two of London’s most respected Underground DJ’s Carl Nicholson & Phil Reynolds decided that the stale formula that many of today’s promotions purvey had been exhausted on all levels and that now was the time for change.

After much market research we found that many of today’s clubbers are bored of being able to guess the line-ups at virtually every single dance event in the country, obviously we are not taking away that these artists have talent as they wouldn’t have been featured so heavily for such a long time. But, where has the romance gone? Where’s the surprise? We looked back on our early clubbing years and one thing dawned on us, there were clubs that we went to on a weekly basis without fail, and we asked ourselves, why?

What brought us back week after week? Well the answer is very simple, the events back then were much more diverse, there was more thought, and less hard sell, and in turn this let the event sell itself through word of mouth which any marketing director will tell you is utterly priceless.

At ‘ART’, gone are the days of hearing the same track 5 times in one night, our line-ups are intricately choreographed to create explosive crescendo’s throughout the night, not sticking with an elite genre, we will cast our DJ’s for the benefit of the whole event, starting slow and gaining momentum as the night progresses. Also, forget the days of walking into a main room and all there is to see is four walls, a bar and a DJ box. We at ‘A.R.T’ will be transforming the venue into a visual feast, no view from any part of the room will look the same as another, and there will also be surprise additions to the production to keep things new, exciting and fresh.

Also, ‘ART’ will have a resident percussionist which in our opinion has fallen to the wayside in recent years, and we aren’t talking about one of our mates with a bongo, this man has over 20 years’ experience in his field and has played at some of the biggest events in the country from the early days of ‘Sunny Side Up’ & ‘Strawberry Sundae’ to today’s major organisations such as super club ‘Cream’.

And, before you say ‘Is the line-up going to be full of your ticket selling mates?’ The answer is simply ‘No’, we at ‘A.R.T’ have gone to extreme lengths to bring you artistes that are world renowned for their craft, expect billboard topping remixers alongside the cream of UK & International talent from some of the biggest record labels this planet has to offer.

So…………you excited yet? We know that we certainly are, especially that the lovely Jayne Parkes has allowed me to also call it a celebration of my hero Tony de Vit's birthday which is on Sept 12th, so hold tight, and get ready for a night that will without doubt truly change your clubbing life forever……..

So in the pure fashion of my hero Tony de Vit, i wrote all the tunes, they were in the style that I wanted to do, and played them the way I wanted to play them. Hope you enjoy this as much as i enjoyed doing it!!! smiley
